News Release

The 8th International Public Procurement Conference, another Success

The 8th International Public Procurement was held in Arusha, Tanzania, August 8-10, 2018, was a success. There were:
- 103 paper proposals;
- 71 submitted papers;
- 56 paper presentations (five authors could not attend IPPC8 for a variety of reasons including last minute job demand, and passport application problems;
- 27 panels on various themes; and
- 312 participants from 46 countries.

In addition to the reported data above, IPPC8 had an intangible impact: IPPC became a more recognized and respected procurement conference in Africa.

IPPC is one of a very few conferences, if not the only one, to have refereed publications for distributions at the conference. All papers are now under peer review for publication in our conference book which will be published timely for our IPPC8 distributions.
