The Hon. Dr. Phillip I. Mpango, Minister of Planning of the national government of Tanzania, flew in from the nation’s capital, to give an opening speech, which was reported on various television stations in Tanzania.

Following IPPC’s common practice, participants selected IPPC9 (2020) country host though an open bidding process and voting. There were three bidders, one from Brazil, one from USA, and one from China. The China’s host won the bid.

Due to the Chinese government strict international travel rules, the IPPC9 was in Buenos, Argentina, August 15-15, 2020. Then the deadly COVID-19 has forced us to postpone IPPC9 a few times.
