Dear Colleagues,

We regret to inform you that our partner university in Chile has notified our IPPC9 Committee that unfortunately they will be unable to host the IPPC9 due to unforeseen circumstances. Our Organization Committee has made efforts to secure an alternative venue. Unfortunately, the decision came too late for us to find a host capable of accommodating our large conference of 250-350 participants. As of now, we have received 187 paper proposals, and nearly 100 full papers have been submitted.

Therefore, the IPPC9 Committee had no choice but to reschedule the conference to 2024. We are actively searching for a host country and hope to secure one within the next few months.

It is worth noting that our goal has been to hold conferences on all continents to reflect our international perspective. To date, we have successfully organized three conferences in Europe, two conferences in Asia, two conferences in America, and one conference in Africa.

There are several criteria for our IPPC Committee's decision, including the following:
- Hotel rates (participants may not be able to pay high rates),
- Conference venue: Convenient flight connections,
- Tourist attraction,
- Possible local finance support for receptions,
- conference rooms: A large room for about 200-250 attendants for an opening session
(about 45 minutes), and one or two plenary sessions (for keynote speakers),
- 3-5 small rooms for concurrent panels or sessions for about 40 participants
- Computers and overhead projectors for each room, and
- Staff for registration desk.
Financial Responsibilities:

The IPPC network gets $75 per each registration fee for its modest operation costs including website management fees, credit card registration fee of 3%. The remaining revenues are used for the program schedule’s printing cost, for the costs of five coffee breaks, and a reception dinner (whose cost shall be based revenues). Normally, past conference hosts got sponsorships from local, agencies or organization for a first day reception cocktail.
